Spiced Chickpea Toast

Spiced Chickpea Toast is a protein-packed snack that will spice up your morning routine!



  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and dried
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin powder
  • 1 tsp ground coriander powder
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric powder
  • 1 small piece of ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cilantro, for garnish
  • 4 slices Wholesome Harvest Stone Ground Whole Wheat Bread


  1. Mix all of the above ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for one minute,
  2. Remove bowl from microwave and mash all ingredients together.
  3. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  4. Top chickpea mixture on 4 slices of toasted bread. Garnish with cilantro leave
